Wanda Sue Weishaar

Wanda Sue (Hotchkiss) Weishaar, 89, of Ashton, IL passed away on June 23, 2022. Wanda was born on April 3, 1933 to Claude and Euna Hotchkiss. She graduated from Ashton High School and married Norman Weishaar on July 26, 1951 in Ashton.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Jan P. (Brad) Zimmerman of Rice Lake, WI; 2 grandsons, Jason William (Kailee) Zimmerman and Ryan Jay (Amanda) Zimmerman; As well as 2 great grandchildren, Autumn and Ivy.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Her husband, Norman Weishaar; 1 Son, Jeff Weishaar; 1 sister, Norma Lee Muhlach; As well as 1 brother, Dr. Ronald Hotchkiss.

Earlier in life, she enjoyed riding horses on the family farm. Wanda was an avid homemaker, actively involved in church activities, Womens Circle, prayer chain and the Red Hat Club. In recent years, she helped at her husbands Weishaar Imp. Business. She enjoyed her family and friends and dancing to Big Band Music.

Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashton or The Lions Club.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 601 Richardson Avenue Ashton, IL 61006. A funeral service will take place next day, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 803 Paddock Avenue Ashton, IL 61006, with a visitation from 9:00 A.M. till the time of service.
