Thomas J. Boyne

Thomas J. Boyne, age 89, of Sandwich, IL, passed away peacefully at home on January 15. He was born August 4, 1933 in Aurora, IL, the son of John and Evelyn (Richardson) Boyne.

Tom was a 1953 graduate of East Aurora High School. He retired from Iron Workers Union Local 393 where he was a member since 1970. Tom was a member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, life-time member of St. George Citizen Club and the Phoenix Club. He enjoyed spending time at his second home in Rhinelander, WI, where he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents John and Evelyn Boyne and his son-in-law Daniel Michels.

He is survived by his four daughters, Debi (Everett) Nolte, Pam (Terry) Kluber, Beth (Mike) O’Connell and Melissa (Chris) Padilla, eleven grandchildren, Adam (Courtney) Michels, Drew Michels, Ryan (Meghan) Nolte, Amanda Nolte, Aaron (Jennie) Hull, Tony (Ruby) Hull, Bob (Casey) Kluber, Justin (Liv) O’Connell), Jessica O’Connell (Justin Jones), Christopher (Samantha) Padilla, Emily Padilla, fifteen great-grandchildren, sister, Joanne Boyne of Chicago and the mother of his children,Nancy (Chione) McElyea.

Per Tom’s wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be sent to St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, 720 Rural Street, Aurora, IL 60505.
