Sylvia L. Madsen

Sylvia was born on March 21, 1934 to Roy and Otel Daniels in Bruce, WI. She was the middle of 7 children and was of the Lutheran Faith. Sylvia attended school in Bruce WI. After graduation 4 young women set off on an adventure to Yellowstone where they camped and slept under the stars. Shortly after that adventure Sylvia moved to the big city of Minneapolis. She became a long distance phone operator. That ended up being her favorite job she would have.

In April, 1956 she met her future husband, Marvin Madsen. They were both in her sister’s wedding and hadn’t met each other. They met and the rest as they say is history. Sylvia and Marvin were married on September 1st, 1956. Over the years they had 3 children, Arne, Marlin and Gail. Their union lasted 58 years until Marvin’s death on Mother’s Day 2014.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, 2 older sisters and 2 younger twin brothers. She also lost an infant brother shortly after his birth, some nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, As well as her husband.

Sylvia is survived by her 3 children, Arne (Jan) Madsen of Rochelle IL, Marlin (Kathy) of Rochelle IL, Gail (Edward) Connatser of Bainbridge, GA. Her brother Dean Daniels of WI and her younger brother Stuart (Betty) Daniels of Monroe Center. One granddaughter Ande (Nick) Ross of Ft. Myers, FL and several nieces and nephews.
