Stephanie Marie (Faybik) Leifheit, age 38, unexpectedly passed away on February 7th, 2026 at her home surrounded by family in Sandwich, IL.

Born on February 20th, 1987 at Silver Cross hospital in Joliet, IL. The daughter of Frank Faybik Sr. and Robin(Scott) Anderson. Stephanie attended public school before attaining her GED at Everest College in Aurora, IL. Throughout her career she worked in various fields like manufacturing, retail sales, culinary and eventually as a loving homemaker.

Stephanie's greatest joy was her family she shared with her soul mate and best friend, her husband Paul Leifheit who she shared her hand in marriage on July 22nd, 2017. Together they shared memories full of love with her daughter's, Alexandrea (Morin) Ames and Miley Morin, also the pleasure of her sole grandchild, Mason Ames and their two beloved cats Rocky and Bella. Her passion was caring for her family with neverending love and preparing home-cooked meals with unmatched flavors. Her hobbies also included shooting pool, singing karaoke, dancing and sharing laughs and memories with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Leifheit; her children, Alexandrea (Ezra) Ames and Miley Morin; her parents, Robin(Scott) Anderson, Frank Faybik Sr, Monte(Enrica) Leifheit and Wendy Leifheit; her siblings, Robert(Trisha) Kordick, Frank Faybik Jr, Ashleigh Faybik and Matt(Danielle) Leifheit; and her many nieces and nephews, Alexis Kordick, Cameron Kordick, Sophia Kordick, Cameron Leifheit, Ayvah Faybik, Grayson Kordick, Aubryanna Chada, Amiyah Chada, Armani Eaves, Evalynn Kordick, Alexander Eaves, Azekiel Eaves and many more family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving godmother and great-aunt, Marceline Vodak (nee O'Gara); her grandparents, Bob and Sandra Kordick and Fred and Mary Faybik; along with many more family members and dear friends.

Stephanie's caring heart, bold personality, infectious laugh, sarcastic sense of humor and unwavering loyalty created moments and memories that fill the hearts of her family her friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
