Shirley E Sigler, 90, of Rochelle passed away peacefully in her granddaughters home on May 17, 2026 in Rochelle, Illinois.
Shirley was born in Franklin Grove, Illinois to Burdette and Katherine Coffman on December 27, 1935. She attended Ashton High School and received her GED later in life. Shirley married Robert W. Sigler on June 14, 1952. She worked in Food Service and worked at NIU for 12 years till her retirement and then stayed on as extra help for a few years after. She volunteered as a Liberian at the St Paul Lutheran School and her and Robert volunteered for concession organizers for Sporting events and tournaments at the school.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Sigler; A son, Randy Sigler; A grandson, Shannon Sigler; Parents, Burdette and Katherine Coffman; 3 brothers, Melvin (Sonny), Ronald (Beeb) and Harold Coffman; And 2 sisters, Peggy Mitchusson and Daisy Camplain.
Shirley is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda (Late Ken) Murray and Michelle (Jesse Botello Jr) Sigler; 1 son, Robert (Melissa) Sigler; 1 sister, Ginger (Wayne) Hahn; Grandchildren, Tina (Dave) Chapman, Tabitha Murray, Ken Jr (Stephanie) Murray, Jennifer Sigler, Georgia (Ethan) Springfield, Garrett Sigler, Ivan Botello and Brynn Stinnett; Great Grandchildren, Jordan (Roam) Murray, Jazper Murray, Jake (Emma) Lytle, Hailey Chapman and Baby Springfield coming in the fall; Great-Great Grandchildren, Kai Murray and Logan Lytle; And a special great granddog, Maggie Murray.
Pall bearers for Shirley will be Rob Sigler, Ken Jr Murray, Jesse Botello, Dave Chapman, Garrett Sigler and Ivan Botello.
Shirley's children, grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren were her whole world. She loved each and everyone of them so much. Shirley's other enjoyment was watching the Chicago Cubs and she was an avid mystery story reader.
Memorials may be made to the Family.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 - 1:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 704 N. 6th St. Rochelle, IL 61068. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Gudgel of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. A burial will follow at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
