Sandra Lea Richmond

Sandra Lea Richmond 67, of Sandwich, IL passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 5th, 2026.

She was born on August 20th, 1947, in Aurora, IL. To the late William and Eleanor Richmond.

Sandy loved NASCAR racing and drag racing with her brother and sister-in-law, (she was their biggest fan) and enjoyed her once a month getting together with friends she had known since grade school Joanne, Lynn, Tina and Mary.

Sandy absolutely loved watching Hallmark movies, she was accomplished in sewing, crafting and crocheting and had made many gifts for family and friends. She was member of Corvettes Unlimited and retired from Mid Valley Special Ed.

Christmas was her favorite time of year, and it will never seem the same without her.

Sandy is survived by her sister; Jean (Jack) Olson of Austin, TX Sister in law Janice Richmond of Sheridan, IL her nephew William Richmond III of Seattle, WA nieces; Susan, Aimee, Madeline and Jocelyn. She was also a great Aunt to Gavin, Harper and Dru, Iona, Pearl, Jake, Ava, Zoe and Nora. Cousins Kirk (Sherrill) Michealson and JoAnn Gunty.

She also leaves behind her special friends Ken and Mary Farley, Jackie Bretthauer, Claudia Vodden and many many more friends and neighbors.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents William J. Richmond, Eleanor Richmond-Michealson, stepmother Iona Richmond-Pozzi aunt Mary Lou Michealson Baskovich, brother William J. Richmond Jr. and nephew Alan Olson.
