Ruth Moeller

Ruth Holmes Moeller, 95, of Ashton, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026. Ruth was born in Lindenwood, Illinois, the daughter of Claude and Viola Elliott Holmes. On September 10, 1950, Ruth married Richard (Dick) Moeller in Lindenwood, Illinois, and together they built a life centered around family and their community, making Ashton their home for many years.

Ruth was the mother of four daughters: Lana (Doug) Kirchhofer, Debra Woerner, Monica (Michael) Klick, and Gina Moeller (Richard Comenzind). She was the loving grandmother to Kristen (Jay) French, Kyle (Jen) Kirchhofer, Jeffrey (Michelle Todd) Bach, Nathan (Nicole) Bach, Elizabeth (Ryan) Cushing, Megan (Rick) Armentano, Steven (Erika) Mangiantini, Catherine Comenzind, and Dale (Hannah) Comenzind. She was blessed with 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her son-in-law John Woerner, and one sister Miriam Richards.

Ruth was a long-time member of the Ashton United Methodist Church. A private grave side service will be held at a future date.
