Ronald J. Eisenberg

Ronald J. Eisenberg, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. He was born on May 23, 1936, in Plano, Illinois, to Harold and Pearl (Rogers) Eisenberg.

Ron, affectionately known as “Fluffy,” was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He had a lifelong love of the Chicago Bears and enjoyed watching NASCAR races. In his younger years, Ron also enjoyed bowling and hunting. More than anything, he treasured time spent with his family, especially the many memories they made together in Hayward, Wisconsin.

Throughout his working years, Ron was a skilled machinist and tool and die maker. He worked for Ideal Industries, RV Pump, and Haddock before retiring from All Steel. Ron also made many lasting friendships while bartending at the Fairway Inn.

Ron is survived by his sons, Steven Eisenberg (Bobbi) of Somonauk, Illinois, and Mark Eisenberg (Brenda) of Spring Grove, Illinois; his son-in-law, Tom Bernhardt of Sandwich, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jeremy Eisenberg (Tori), Joshua Eisenberg (Taylor), and Jordan Steelman (Michael); and his great-grandchildren, Andi Eisenberg and Bear Steelman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Evonne; his daughter, Leanne Bernhardt; and his son, Scotty Eisenberg.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St., Sandwich, Illinois, followed by a small service. Burial will be private following the service.

Ron will be remembered for his love of family, his friendships, his sense of humor, and the many good times shared with those who knew and loved him.
