Robert ( Bob ) Nels Ronning

Robert Nels Ronning, 66, of Somonauk passed away September 20, 2018 peacefully in the presence of his family at his brothers’ home in Yorkville. He was born on February 9, 1952 in Aurora, Illinois to Jesse and Lois (Tuntland) Ronning.

He was a member of the Sandwich Gas Engine Club, Silver Spring Antique Car Club, he helped with the Waterman train, “Pete’s Train” at the Waterman Lions Club Park in Waterman, IL. He enjoyed Flea Markets and Antique Car Shows. He worked at Dock’s TV in Plano while in High School and ran Ronnings laundry mat in Somonauk. Worked Sandwich School District and Big Rock School District.

He is survived by his brothers Gerald (Carolyn) Ronning of Carrollton, TX. And Paul (Cheryl) Ronning of Yorkville, IL., as well as his nieces and nephews; Patrick, Christopher (Kalla), Jesse and Billy. Great nieces and nephew; Faith, Caidan, Kloe and Kynlee.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Lois, his sister Darryl, his brother Virgil., and nephew Jason. Private memorial service and burial will take place at Helmar Cemetery Newark, IL.
