Rebekah Trahant

Rebekah Trahant, 46, of Sandwich, Illinois passed away on June 19, 2023 at Kishwaukee Hospital in Dekalb Illinois.  

Rebekah Trahant was born in Geneva, Illinois to Lawrence Trahant and Patricia Rice on April 20, 1977.  She spent the greater part of her adult life supported by her countless friends and staff at Open Door Agency in Sandwich Illinois.  

Rebekah was proceeded in death by her aunt, Janie Rice and grandmother, Bernice Bey.  

Rebekah is survived by her parents Patricia Rice and Lawrence (Jean) Trahant, her sisters Jamie (Mark Kleinfieldt) Crose, Kristina Patrick, and Nicole (Michael) Schomas, and her many nieces and nephews:  Rachel and William Mitchell (children Jacob and Marley), Courtney Kleinfieldt and Matthew Smith, Kelsey Patrick, Dylan and Mattie Patrick (child Charlie), Jaden Schomas and Lukas Schomas.  

Rebekah lived a beautiful life full of love and laughter.  She loved God and every opportunity to praise Him in the way that she lived and cared so deeply for others.  Her enthusiasm for life was contagious.  She has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration for others.  

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, Illinois. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at Harvest Chapel, 725 S. County Line Rd. Sandwich, Illinois.
