Paul W. Oberhart

Paul W. Oberhart, 71, of Sandwich passed away on July 3, 2024.

Paul was born in Elgin to the late John and Evelyn Oberhart on April 29, 1953. He married Gail Mekka on July 5, 1996 in St. Charles. He was an experienced Maintenance Engineer for over 20 years.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Paul. Paul was an avid outdoors man who was fond of working in his gardens. He loved to cook, creating delicious meals for his family. He treasured spending time with loved ones. His humorous personality kept us laughing and really came to life when he would tell his great stories.

Beloved husband of Gail Oberhart. Loving father of Sean (Rachel) Oberhart, Nicholas (Lindsay) Oberhart, Misty (Chris) Honeycutt and the late Michael Oberhart. Adored brother of John (the late Jan) Oberhart, George (the late Sandy) Oberhart, Mary (Kenneth) Sanders, Joyce Frazer, Debbie (Roger) Moudy, Pam (Gary) Walls, Joan (Denis) Hale, and the late Pat (Robert) Johnson, the late Jim Oberhart and the late Sue (John) Mallard. Cherished son of the late John and Evelyn Oberhart. Doting Grandfather of Daliyah, Lucas, Joslyn, Daxton and Caleb. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A service will take place at 1:00 P.M. by some family members and friends who will share some thoughts and memories. Arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
