Naomi (Sue) Griesmann

August 13, 1956 — August 21, 2019

Naomi “Sue” Griesmann, 63, of Sandwich passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 unexpectedly. She was born August 13, 1956 in Chicago, IL to John LeRoy and Harriet Constance (Skorupinski) Rugaber. She married Richard Glenn Griesmann on June 25, 1979 and they were married for 19 years. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2012.

Sue spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her 4 children but also worked several years in the gardening field at different nurseries. She loved working with plants and growing food in her large garden. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her kids play sports, being a girl scout leader, and was always crafting something new. She recently took up photography and was loving being able to get back outside in nature following a hip replacement surgery in 2018. Her biggest passion though was her 10 grandkids ranging from 2 months to 17 years old. She cherished spending every minute she could with them. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and couldn’t wait to see all they accomplished in life. Sue was also very dedicated to researching her family tree and finding out where her family originated.

Sue is survived by 3 daughters and 1 son. Michelle (John) Cusimano of Marion, OH; Melissa (Stuart) Holstein of Leland,IL; Sean Griesmann of Plano, IL; and Cheryl (Steve) Berenyi of Sandwich, IL, along with her pride and joy, her 10 grandchildren, Tristen, Caden, Jonah, Zoey, Jaxson, Caleb, Kayla, Callie, Mason, and Emilia.

She was preceded in death by her former spouse, her parents, 1 sister Angela (Hensley) Hubbs, and 1 brother Paul Hensley.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, cards or memorial donations can be entrusted to Michelle Cusimano at 2724 Harding Hwy W, Marion, OH 43302. A gift will be given to the Children’s Diabetes Foundation in her honor, as this was very close to
her heart with diabetes affecting her immediate family.

Arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Homes. www.beveragefamilyfh.com
