Nancy C. Morel

Nancy C. Morel, 73, of rural Sheridan, IL passed away on November 17, 2022. Nancy was born on April 17, 1949 in Sandwich, IL to Robert and Lucille Morel. She was a member of Millington Methodist Church. She received her Associate Degree from Joliet Junior College. She also received education from the Dietary Managers Association and the Illinois Department of Health.

She was a retired employee of Rush Copley Hospital. She worked at many places in her career including, Village Courtyard in Somonauk, IL, Service Master Company at Copley, Hillside Healthcare Nursing Home in Yorkville, IL, Sandwich Community Hospital in Sandwich, IL, Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL and she even had her own catering business. She also had many titles and duties over the years, Short order cook, Baker, Food Production Manager, Catering, Preparing Schedules, Diet Technician, Supervising, President and Dietary Manager’s Association of Hennessippi District. She had many hats in her journey in food service for 48 years.

Nancy is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Don Rice (Mary) and Mrs. Monty Reiners (Betty); As well as 1 brother, Robert H. Morel (Denise).

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, niece, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A visitation will take place one hour prior from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded. A graveside service will take place at a later date at Elerding Cemetery.
