Michelle D. Prentice

Michelle D. Prentice, 64, of Sandwich, IL, passed away peacefully at home with her family on May 7, 2022. Michelle was born on October 28, 1957 in Peoria, IL to Wayne and Donna (Vaughn) Black. They resided in Manito, IL before making the move to Sandwich, IL. Michelle was a Sandwich High School graduate and worked for Caterpillar most of her life. She retired after 30 years, her title being a Storage Controllman. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Michelle enjoyed the little things in life. Whether it be going on a motorcycle ride with the wind blowing in her hair or spoiling and snuggling one of her grandbabies. Michelle was there for it all. Her life was shortend but her impact was eternal. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. 

Michelle is survived by her children, Nichole (Nkrumah) Morgan of Crestview, FL and Sherry (Doug) Decker of Somonauk, IL; 6 grandchildren, Courtney Prentice, Kiley Decker, Nkrumah Morgan II, Carter Morgan, Brayden Kuykendall and Jayden Kuykendall; 2 great grandchildren, Aria and Charlotte; 1 brother, Mike (Eileen) Black of Michigan; As well as former partner, Tim Vieira. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and her uncle, Franklin Vaughn. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14th from 2pm – 5pm at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. Followed immediately by a celebration of life at Sports Page Gaming Cafe, 102 E Railroad St. Sandwich, IL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
