Michelle Carol Lovell

Michelle Carol Lovell, 69, of DeKalb, passed away on September 18, 2025.

Michelle was born in Sycamore, Illinois on October 13, 1955, to Richard and Lois Fogel. She attended school in Genoa and DeKalb, Illinois graduating from DeKalb High School in 1974. She worked primarily as a secretary at NIU and Fermilab. She began working as a medical transcriptionist in DeKalb and continued with that profession until her retirement.

Michelle is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Lois Fogel and her grandparents.

She will be missed by her son, Matthew (Erin), her daughter Meredith, her grandchildren, Ava, Jack and Greta. Her sisters Marla (Tom), Melissa (Brian), and Myla (Tom) and their families.

It was Michelle’s wishes that there be no services. Please remember her with a flower in your garden, the song of bird that you feed or the beauty of autumn.
