Michael Joseph Muzzillo

Michael J. Muzzillo, 74, of Sandwich, IL passed away on February 27, 2019 at North Western CDH Hospital in Winfield, IL.

He was born on October 17, 1944 to Edward and Lucille (Hart) Muzzillo in Gary IN. Mike worked at Sandwich Community Hospital as the Director of the Laboratory Services. That’s where he met and fell in love with Jenelle Wright. They married November 15, 1980 in Sandwich. Mike went on later in his career to earn his PhD. That lead to position as Asst. Administrator and then becoming Administrator of Valley West Community Hospital. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Sandwich. He had served on several boards that were Lab related, he enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and especially his Alaska and Smokey Mountain trips.  He was huge Bears fan enjoying everything there was with that, but what he enjoyed the most was the company of his family.

His is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jenelle; his children, Joe (Deborah) Muzzillo of Capron, IL, Rob (Melissa) Wright of Sandwich, IL, Chris (Scott) Hughes of Whitehall, WI and Tara (John) Vaughn of Puxico, MO; sister in law, Carol Muzzillo of Angola, IN; grandchildren, Jordan, Hunter, Joshua, Emily, Jason, Bret and Amanda and great grandchildren, Oliver, Camila and Lailoni.

Visitation will be held Saturday March 2^nd, 2019 at the Beverage Family Funeral Home 104 Terry St., Sandwich, IL from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Bernie Sehr officiating. Memorial maybe directed to North Western Valley West Hospital in Mike’s memory.
