Marlene A. Becker

Marlene A. Becker, 79, of Sandwich, IL passed away on December 7, 2020 at home peacefully with family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Marlene was born on October 10, 1941 in Aurora, IL to John and Cathryn (Burgholzer) Kellett. She married Richard G. Becker and they just celebrated their 60^th wedding anniversary on October 8, 2020. She graduated from Madonna Catholic High School in 1959. She worked at Servex Inc. in Naperville, IL when she wasn’t at home raising her children. She enjoyed many weekends with family and friends at Rolling Oaks Campground. She also enjoyed 13 cruises, playing Bingo, going to the Friendly Center Club and going to the casinos.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Richard Becker; 1 sister, Melody (Bob) Riggs of CA; 3 children, Craig (Pamela) Becker of Big Rock, IL, Brenda (Andrew) Denovellis of North Aurora, IL and Janice (Robert) Sherwood of Serena, IL; 7 grandchildren, Christopher Becker, Amber (Scott) Nadeau, Cathryn (Joseph) Solecki, Brittany (Adam) Witek, Bradley Sherwood, Gerald Becker, Sarah Denovellis; 3 great grandchildren, Leo Nadeau, Emmett Nadeau and Cora Witek; And several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, John and Cathryn Kellett; 1 daughter, Marsha Lynn Ode (2008); And 1 grandson, Johnathon Richard Ode (2017).

A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street Sandwich, IL 60548. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora, IL. A recording of the service at the funeral home will be posted onto Marlene’s obituary page on the funeral home’s website the next morning for those who wish to watch it.
