Laurie M. Kramer

Laurie M. Kramer, 65, of Rochelle, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Laurie was born on April 14, 1961, in Rochelle, Illinois, to Gordon and Grace (Ludvigsen) Ankney. She married Scott Kramer in 1987, and they shared many years together until his passing.

Known lovingly as "Mimi," Laurie treasured spending time with her grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life. She enjoyed watching fireworks, admiring beautiful sunsets, and making memories with friends at "the pond."

Laurie is survived by her daughter, Danielle (Steve Dummer) Kramer; her grandson, Caiden Dummer; and her granddaughter, Madison Dummer. She is also survived by her sisters, Dorene (Butch) TeBockhorst and Cheryl (Danny) Potts; her brother, Rod Ankney; her sister-in-law, Freda Ankney; as well as many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Kramer; her parents, Gordon and Grace Ankney; her mother- and father-in-law, Ray and Jan Kramer; her brother, Ronald Ankney; her sister, Lowaine Bucher; her brother-in-law Kenneth Bucher; her nephew, Boyd McCoy; and her special friend, Larry Barnes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held at the Rochelle VFW on Saturday, August 29th from 12pm-3pm.

A private burial will take place in Cornell, Wisconsin.
