Kenneth William Houlne

Kenneth William Houlne, 60, of Sandwich, IL passed away December 20, 2019 after a 16 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Kenneth was born on December 21, 1958 in Aurora, IL to John and Delores (Sherwin) Houlne. He was a graduate of Newark High School in Newark, IL and served a 4 year apprenticeship with IBEW Local  461 in Aurora, IL. He worked for 39 years. Ken also studied martial arts and trained for karate tournaments in the early to mid 1980’s. He enjoyed traveling, vacations to Wisconsin and Florida, camping and fishing.

Kenneth is survived by the love of his life for 16 years, Debbie (Groom); 1 brother, Robert Houlne of Morris, IL; And 1 sister, Karen (Ronald) Hatton of Sandwich, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Delores Houlne; And 1 sister, Deborah Houlne.

In Lieu of memorials, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Harvest Chapel, 725 South County Line Road Sandwich, IL 60548. Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:00 P.M.. Memorial service will follow at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Derek Johnsen will be officiating. Burial will be held privately. Cremation rites have been accorded.
