Kelly Chadd

Kelly Marie Roe Chadd, 49, of Streator, Illinois, passed away on October 29, 2024, at Jovan Bea Riverside Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.

She was born in Aurora, Illinois, to Susan (Sue) Gillum King on August 21, 1975. Kelly attended Somonauk High School and was attending school to complete her BA degree.

A passionate jewelry maker, she owned Kel's Cabochon and Delicate Designs by Kelly. As a content creator on Facebook, she belonged to many different groups, and had approximately 5000 followers she loved dearly. With an outgoing, bubbly personality, she was a social butterfly always ready with a smile. She was a Christian and had a very close relationship with God.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, William E. Gillum, and uncle, Richard W. Gillum. Kelly is survived by Susan (Sue) Gillum King (mother); Bradley King (brother), Bryan and Amanda King (brother and sister in-law), Jeanette Gillum Herren and Tim Herren (aunt and uncle), and cousins Trevor Herren, William Gillum II, Lauren Gillum, Richard Gillum II; her grandmother, Martha E. Gillum; and Michael Roberts (significant other). 

Memorials may be made to The American Lung Association and The American Cancer Society.

It is with great gratitude that Kelly's family extends their sincere thanks to the medical staff at Jovan Bea Riverside Hospital in Rockford Illinois, and Beverage Funeral Home in Sandwich, Illinois, for their care and service.

The family will hold a private celebration of Kelly's life.
