Judith ( Judy ) H. Houghtby

Judith Helga Houghtby, 74 of Sandwich, IL. passed away at Rush Copley on August 6, 2018. She was born on February 6, 1944 in Kalamazoo, MI to late William and Marie (Schuman) Umlauf.

She married Richard Houghtby on June 25, 1983 in Sandwich IL. and spent the next 35 years happily married. She worked and retired from CTS Knights, loved knitting, playing computer games, was a collector of over 2000 cookie jars and Sponge Bob memorabilia.

She is survived by her husband Richard, her children, John (Rebecca) Morel of Sandwich, Kathy (Steve) Reppen of Mendota, Brian (Mary) Houghtby of Ohio, and Timothy (Beth) Houghtby of Louisiana, her sister Joanne (Richard) Harvey of California, her 14 beautiful grandchildren and 2 precious great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Robert Umlauf on Oct 12, 2013, a sister Janet and a brother Richard.
