Judith (Judy) Ann Anderson

Judith (Judy) Ann Anderson, 82, of Sandwich, IL, passed away peacefully at home on November 14th, 2023.

She was born to William (Bud) and Jean Sherratt in Pittsburgh, PA, on October 27th, 1941. After graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1959, she went on to study Pharmacy at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority, where she held many offices, including that of president. It was during her time at Drake that she met fellow pharmacy student, Lyle Anderson. They were married on June 4 th , 1963, the day after their graduation, and they went on to have two children, Craig and Christine.

Judy began her career as a pharmacist at Holland’s Drug Store in Sandwich. She worked at several other pharmacies throughout her career, finally retiring from CVS pharmacy in LaSalle Peru in 2013.

Judy was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, and was also a longtime member of P.E.O. Chapter FO in Sandwich.

Judy was an avid reader, and she also enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family and beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jean.

Judy is survived by her husband, Lyle Anderson, her son, Craig (Andi) Anderson, and their two children, Nick and Devon of Fishers, IN, her daughter, Christine (Jon) Conover, and their son, Daniel of Yorkville, IL, her brother, Doug (Carol) Sherratt of Beaufort, SC, as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews, all who were so special to her.

A funeral service will be held on December 2nd, 2023, at 11:00 am at Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich.

Memorials may be given to the Salem Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, or the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (https://donations.peointernational.org/peo-donation-pce).
