John A. Latona III

John Allen Latona III, 76, came into the lives of Dorothy Latona (née Harley), and John Allen Latona Jr on August 24th, 1949. He was called, by God, to come back to Heaven on July 29th, 2025.

John "Johnny" Latona, in his later years, touched the hearts and lives of everyone he had the privilege of meeting. He brought warmth, kindness, generosity, laughter, compassion, and love to those that he proudly called friends, to his wife, to his father-in-law, to his daughter and her husband, to his brothers, to his sisters, and to his many nieces and nephews.

He absolutely had a soft spot for his "kitties": Bearzie I, Kookie, and Bearzie II. To say that he had spoiled them, that would be an understatement; but, he spoiled them with lots of love, lots of hugs and kisses, protection, and their favorite food and treats. Bearzie II, and Kookie are missing their daddy; but, their daddy's in Heaven with Bearzie I.

John absolutely appreciated the small things, and the huge things that anyone has done for him, and he made sure that they knew just how much they truly meant to him, and he reciprocated what one had done for him in his own amazing way. This is what made him extremely special in everyone's hearts, spirits, and souls.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, and father, John.

He is survived by his wife, Samantha "Sammie" Latona (née Fletcher), his father-in-law, Larry "Geno" Fletcher, his daughter, Antoinette "Toni" Remer (née Latona), and her husband, Robert "Rob" Remer. His brothers Joe, Jeff, Justin, and Jimmy, and his sisters Angie, and Rosemary. Along with many nieces, and nephews, and his two grandchildren, Steven, and Selia. And, many, many friends.

John may be physically gone, but he left many beautifully and cherished memories for all those he knew to reflect upon, and remember during our most sorrowful times, which will be many, but those memories will last for many, many years to come. This isn't goodbye; this is "see you later." We will forever love you, cherish you, adore you, and honor you. So, thank you, John (dad), for the laughs, the hugs and tender kisses on our cheeks, your warmth, your love, all those thoughtful conversations, and all of the great memories. So, please watch over us, from Heaven above, and be our loving and sweet Guardian Angel.

There will be no services at this time.
