John H. Curry

John H. Curry, 86, of Sandwich, IL passed away on June 3, 2025. John was born on June 30, 1938 at St. Charles Hospital in Aurora, IL to William and Blanche (Hennessy) Curry.

John was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Aurora, IL and he was also a member of Traction Masters Car Club in Aurora, IL.

John graduated from West Aurora High School in 1956. He had served in the US Army. He worked at Western Electric, for John Kleinemeier of Badger Armoured for 11 years and went on to work for ATT and retired from there after 31 years. He also worked as a flag man at Oswego Drag Strip from 1957 to 1962.

In 2001, John and Karen moved to the country in Sandwich, where they lived for 24 years until his passing.

John is survived by his wife, Karen Lynn Curry, and 2 sons, John Stephen Curry of Afton, Tennessee and Joseph Michael Curry of Sandwich, Illinois.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
