James L. Dalton

James Lee Dalton passed on July 29 2025. He was born on January 18 1956. He graduated from East Aurora High School in 1974. Received his MBA at Illinois State University. James was controller for Leader Automotive in Crystal Lake & Chicago. 

He is survived by two children Eric Dalton, and Mia Dalton, two sisters Lori (Tim) Duy, Cindy (Mark) Carroll, many nephews, nieces, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his dad Fred R Dalton Jr, mom Gladys R Dalton, and brother Fred R Dalton III. 

He loved family, cars, fishing, sports, especially the Cubs, and getting in a good workout. He will be dearly missed. 

A Celebration of Life will be on September 27 at Northeast Christian Church in Rockford IL. Visitation 10:00-11:00, service at 11:00.
