James Warren Blatner

James Warren Blatner, 66, of Sandwich, Il. passed away on September 11, 2018 in Ottawa, IL. He was born on November 5, 1951 in Aurora, Il. to Albert and Catherine (Watson) Blatner. He married Robinn  (Kamins) Shepherd on August 20, 2011 in Sheridan, IL.

He worked for the Fox Valley Park District for 17 years. Jim loved the 70’s and 80’s and was a rock ‘n’ roll fan. He was a hockey player, a Blackhawks fan, and a family man. He loved fishing. Jim had a great sense of humor and was known by his family as “Clark Griswold.”

 He is survived by his wife Robinn, his son Aaron (Erin) Blatner of Bolingbrook, IL.  his daughter Heidi Blatner Graham of Aurora, IL.  and Travis (Ellen) Shepherd, his brothers Pat (Cathy) of Sugar Grove, IL.  and Mike (Robin) of New Mexico, his sisters; Sue (Ron) Moeller of Aurora, IL. Judy (Kurt) Ellertson of Florida, and Theresa Blatner of Aurora, IL. and his four grandchildren; Nathan, A.J., Lindsey and Daphne.

 He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on September 15, 2018 from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL.

Memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan De Witt officiating.

 Family is requesting that Blackhawk or Upnorth attire ne worn in his memory.
