Irene J. Kotecki

Irene J. Kotecki, 95, of Plano, IL passed away on January 15, 2026. Irene was born on June 18, 1930 in Flint, MI to Richard and Sally (Wieczorek) Hyatt. Irene was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plano. In her younger years, she volunteered at the church. She was also a devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Irene is survived by 2 children, Eugene (Sheila) Kotecki of Sandwich, IL and Jacqueline (Richard) Borgaard of Colorado; 1 Daughter-in-law, Linda Kotecki of Sandwich, IL; 6 grandchildren, Shawn, Kathryn, Mark, Keith, Brandon and Ashley; As well as 9 great grandchildren, Adelaide, Genevive, Delaney, Luxley, Aubrey, Kinsley, Brantley, Railey and Halley.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; Her son, Lawrence Kotecki; 1 grandson, Kevin; 2 brothers, Howard and Raymond; And 2 sisters, Louise and Mildred.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 19th, 2026 at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A funeral mass will be held next day, Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 901 N. Center St. Plano, IL 60545.
