Hector Z. Amador

Hector Z. Amador, 78, of Rochelle, IL passed away on January 21, 2024 in Rochelle, IL. Hector was born on February 11, 1945 in Mexico to Augustine and Amelia (Tolentino) Amador.

Hector moved from Mexico at the age of 10 to Texas, and he eventually migrated up to Rochelle. He worked at Del Monte for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing, barbecuing and watching Westerns. He was a family man and always helped his family and friends when they needed it.

Hector is survived by 4 children, Hector (Balandren) Amador of San Antonio, TX, Cindy Amador of Rochelle, IL, Sylvia Larsen of Rochelle, IL and Steve Amador of Rochelle, IL; 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Noah, Anthony and Rachel; 3 great grandchildren, Via, Hazel and Zela; 1 sister, Elizabeth Amador; As well as a special friend, Samual Anaya of Rochelle.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Beatriz.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 704 N. 6^th St. Rochelle, IL 61068.
