Georgia Dee Benson

Georgia Dee Benson, 81, of Davis Junction, IL. Passed away at Swedish American in Rockford, IL on January 19, 2018. She was born in Milledgeville, Tennessee to William and Mollie (Johnson) Mace on August 10, 1936. She married John Fay Benson on February 10, 1955 in Mississippi and was happily married until his passing on January 25, 1998. Georgia loved gardening, caring for her lawn, and her animals and watching her soaps on TV. She is survived by her children Dannie, Ronnie (Julie) and Ryan all of Davis Junction, her grandchildren, Michael (Jacki) Jacobs, and Kristina Seaworth, her great grandchildren Kelsey, Ashley and Alexis, her sister Nancy Parks of Bartlett, Tennessee and her brother Earl (Martha) Mace of Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John. Funeral service will be held Wednesday January 24th 2018 at Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home 701 N. 6th Street Rochelle, IL.  At 12:00 noon with visitation from 10:00 a.m. till the time of service.
