Gary N. Kessel

Gary Norman Kessel, 72, of Oregon, IL passed away on October 5, 2019. Gary was born on February 21, 1947 to Donald and Bernadine (Bauer) Kessel in Amboy, IL. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashton, IL. He was a farmer on the family farm and also loved and enjoyed being around his two grandchildren.

Gary is survived by 1 daughter, Lindsay (Paul) Drew of Oregon, IL; 2 grandchildren, Keaton and Autumn; 1 brother, Dennis Kessel of Barrington, IL; and 1 sister, Vickie (Steven) Carlson of Rockford, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Lane Kessel; and 1 sister, Angela Page.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 A.M. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 803 Paddock Ave. Ashton, IL 61006. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 A.M. with Rev.
