Gary Ralph Hardersen

Gary Ralph Hardersen, 71, of Sheridan, IL passed away on February 22, 2020. Gary was born on August 25, 1948 in Princeton, IL to Ralph and Maxine (Edmonson) Hardersen. He graduated Sandwich High School in 1967. He served in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He worked as a letter carrier at the Las Vegas Post Office starting in 1974 and retired in 2014 as the Vice President of Postal Letter Carriers Union. He was an avid car guy and was part of the Illinois Valley Horsemans Association.He enjoyed pack riding in the high country with his friends Bryan McNutt and Brad Tuftie

Gary is survived by his children, Kim (Adam) Ruiz and Katie (Brian) Miller; 1 sister, Donna (Dennis) Belfanz; 3 grandchildren, Dakota, Wyatt and Kylee.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial visitation and service will be held August 15th 2020  at 12:00 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till the time of service. Interment to follow to Elerding Cemetery Sheridan, IL with full military services. Funeral services were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Homes. www.beveragefamilyfh.com
