Frederick A. Reisinger

Frederick A. Reisinger, 83, of Rochelle, IL, died on August 17, 2025. He was born in Cairo, IL, on September 22, 1941, to Isom and Salome Reisinger. He was third oldest of 12 children.

Frederick joined the U.S. Navy in 1959, serving on active-duty service as an Aviation Electrician’s Mate Petty Officer Second Class (AE2). Frederick was attached to Attack Squadron 23 (VA-23) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway (CVA-41) and Patrol Squadron 724 (VP-724).

Frederick was an electrician by trade and a long-time member of the Rochelle Moose Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening and was an avid ham radio operator (callsign KA9WZB).

He is survived by his wife Denise of Ashton, IL; sons, Frederick (Chris) Reisinger of Brockton, MA, and Donald (Candice) Reisinger of Grayslake, IL; grandchildren, Fredrich Reisinger III, Ashley Reisinger, Katelyn Reisinger and Emily Reisinger; and siblings, Michael Reisinger, Ann Pica, Rita Kupris, Loretta Reisinger, and Martha Dubois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Ruth, Mary, William “Tony”, Rose, David, Agnes, and his son David.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 704 N. 6th St. Rochelle, IL 61068. A funeral mass will take place next day, Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 244 Kelley Dr. Rochelle, IL 61068. A committal service will take place the following day, Thursday, August 28th, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd. Elwood, IL 60421.
