Elizabeth Arzelie Dorgan

Elizabeth Arzelie Dorgan, 94, of Oswego, IL passed away on May 5, 2026. Elizabeth was born on July 16, 1931 in Dowagiac, MI to Edward and Virginia (Otin) Dorgan. She graduated High school in Dowagiac. Elizabeth was a devout Catholic and went on to become a nun for 20 years at the Sister's of St. Joseph in Kalamazoo, MI. While she was a nun, she taught elementary 5th and 6th grade in several Michigan schools. Later on she would also work at the post office in Lake Zurich, IL.

She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich.

Elizabeth is survived by 2 nieces, Debra and Diane, and a nephew, Danny.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Dorgan.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
