Edwin W. Schoen

Edwin W. Schoen, 85, of Waterman, IL, the son of Edwin C. Schoen and Margaret (Hamling) Schoen passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2025 with family by his side after a lengthy illness. He attended East Aurora High School. He had a long career at Nicor and got to enjoy 30 years of retirement.

Edwin was an avid car guy and enjoyed car cruises and car shows. He also enjoyed traveling in many different RV’s and seeing the country, as well as enjoyed fishing at Leech Lake in Minnesota.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nan (Otto) Schoen; 3 daughters, Debby (David) Seibel, Sandy Underwood and Leigh Bell; 6 grandchildren; As well as 14 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tony Schoen.

Services will be private.
