Donna L. Stephens

Donna Leah (“Mama”) Stephens, age 86, of Earlville, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2023.

She was born August 4^th, 1936 in Woodbine, Iowa, the daughter of Elgar and Lavon (Doty) Teel of Gallatin, MO.

Donna was united in marriage on October 21^st, 1953 to Albert W. Stephens and they spent the next 47 years happily together until his passing on May 20^th, 2000.

Later, Donna met and spent 20+ happy years together with Carl Thompson.

Donna loved garage sales, music, art and travel. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children; Kimberly (Rick) Albin of Paris, TN, Keith (Tina) Stephens of Earlville, IL; her grandchildren, Terry Albin of Mesa, AZ, Ryan Albin of Somonauk, IL, Kyla Stephens of Earlville, IL and Jean (Chris) Epperson of Paris, TN; Her great-grandchildren, Zaggan (GG) Albin, Ashley, Natasha and Quinn; Donna’s niece, Denise (Wyatt) Bradway and their two sons; And Nephew, Denny Drury.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Albert W. Stephens; Sister, Mary Drury; And son-in-law, Rick Albin.

Per family wishes, a private grave site memorial will be planned at a later date.

A special and heartfelt Thank You to the OSF Healthcare-Ottawa Hospice team for their loving care, help and service given to Donna and helping her family transition as gently as possible through this difficult time.
