Dianne E. Nyberg

Dianne Evelyne Nyberg, born on September 15, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 88.

Known by many simply as “Auntie,” Dianne’s kind, generous, and loving spirit touched all who knew her. She held deep affection for her nieces and nephews, always offering warmth, laughter, and encouragement.

A dedicated educator and proud graduate of Northern Illinois University, Dianne spent her life shaping young minds and believed deeply in the power of learning. Outside the classroom, she found joy in writing, reading, and caring for her beloved collection of books.

She is survived by her three brothers, Robert (Shirley) Nyberg, Gary (Nancy) Nyberg, and Wayne (late Janice) Nyberg, along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as Great and Great-great nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Arda (Peterson) Nyberg and her five sisters, Carol (late Jerry) Lorman, Doris (late Henry) Sheehan, Geri (late Dale) Randall, Phyllis (late Bill) Malmin and Linda (late Robert) Henning.

Dianne will be remembered for the light she brought into people’s lives, for her generosity, and for her unwavering love of family. Her legacy lives on in every life she touched. 

A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M.
