David Louis Hildenbrand

David L. Hildenbrand, age 63, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026 at his residence in North Aurora, IL. He was born April 15, 1962 in Akron, OH to John and Hazel (Dunwoody) Hildenbrand.

Dave grew up in Chamblee, GA and Hudson, OH, graduated from Hudson High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was a mechanic by trade and worked in the Aerial Lift Industry before finishing his career with Caterpillar. Throughout his life Dave loved fishing, cooking, tinkering and sharing a good laugh with friends and family.

He married Holly Lichter on October 3, 1992 and together they started their family in Arlington, TX before settling in Naperville, IL. They enjoyed many years' together building and vacationing at their cabin in the North Woods.

Dave is survived by his wife Holly Hildenbrand; children: Haley (Adam) Beans and Jacob (Rebecca) Hildenbrand; his grandchildren: David Beans and Rowan Hildenbrand; and his siblings: Michael Hildenbrand, Rena Strahorn and Holly (Carl) Lee. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel Hildenbrand and sister-in-law, Olga Hildenbrand.
