Charles Edward Kaufman

Charles Edward Kaufman, 88 of Aurora, IL. passed away peacefully in his home on May 23, 2018. Charles (Chuck) was born May 9, 1930. He worked at Allsteel for many years after returning from the Korean War serving from 1949-1953 aboard the USS Essex. Charles was a kind and loving man to all his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Laura (Haish) Kaufman, his two sons, Bruce (Rya) Kaufman of Idaho; and Rodney (Ron) Kaufman of Florida., son-in-law Gary Freeland of Somonauk, his stepchildren David (Peggy) Haish of Sycamore, IL, Debbie Haish of Sandwich and Sherry Roldan of Florida. Charles leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, who he cared for deeply, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte (Lottie) Kaufman, his loving daughters Beth Freeland and Rita Dis Jardine, his parents Tessie (Vermland) and Ralph Kaufman, his sisters Doris Johnson, and Mrytle Martinson, four brothers; Paul, Ivan, James, and Richard.
