Charles W. Kania

Charles W. Kania, 78, of Somonauk, IL passed away on July 10, 2025. Charles was born on January 31, 1947 in Chicago, IL to Walter and Helen M. (Jendrzejczyk) Kania.

Charles was an active member at the Sandwich VFW Post 1486 and a past commander.

Charles is survived by his wife, Linnea Kania; His son, Rick (Sandi) Kania of Plainfield, IL; Step-children, Ray (Wafa) Rohm of Mokena, IL and Wendy (Dale) Asbury of Delavan, WI; Grandchildren, Olivia Kania, Alek Kania, Eric (Naomi) Asbury, Kaitlyn (Beau Recob) Asbury-Neubert, Andrew (Tirzah) Asbury, Raymond Rohm and Randyl (Shane) Marquis; Great grandchildren, Benjamin Kania, Clara Neubert, Everett Neubert, Pearl Asbury and Mia Asbury; As well as many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with military honors to follow at the VFW in Sandwich, IL at 2:30 P.M. Arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
