Carol Margaret Parsley passed away on September 27, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Carol was born in Ogle County, IL and graduated from Rochelle Township High School. She lived in the Rochelle area until 1983, when her husband Harold, who proceeded her in death in 2018, was transferred to the Del Monte office located in San Francisco, CA. Carol worked in various nursing homes, both in Illinois and the East Bay Area of California for many years handling administrative tasks. Her faith is a cornerstone of her life, and she was active in her church, Faith Lutheran, in Pleasant Hill, CA. Prior to moving to California, Carol was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Rochelle, IL. Carol regularly helped needy families during the holidays to help spread joy and happiness. Carol enjoyed knitting and crocheting; making baby, child, and adult sized blankets that she donated to a variety of nursing homes and hospitals.

Her survivors include two sons; Kevin and his wife Tiffany of Citrus Heights, California; and Keith and his wife Lisa-Marie of Folsom, California. Carol is also survived by three grandchildren, including Alexander and Amanda, (Keith and Lisa-Marie), and Samantha, (Kevin and Tiffany). Carol was one of six children and is survived by sisters Arlene Thibodeau and Audrey Onken. Carol was preceded in death by her brothers Alan and Denny Albrecht and sister Betsy Roinas.

Services are being held at Faith Lutheran Church, 14206 East Flagg Road, Rochelle, Illinois at 10:30 am on October 15, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:30 at the church. Interment to follow immediately after at Lawn Ridge Cemetery located at 1701 8th Ave, Rochelle, IL 61068.

A celebration of life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 14206 E Flagg Road, Rochelle, immediately after the interment. Please join us in celebrating Carol. Food and refreshments will be served.
