Carol Jean Lockman

Carol Jean Lockman, 82, of Sandwich, IL passed away on March 6, 2024. Carol was born on July 3, 1941 in Sandwich, IL to Gerald and Evelyn (Heriaud) Ferris. She married Jimmie Dean Lockman on September 16, 1960 in Somonauk, IL. They spent 43 years together and raised 4 great children.

Carol was a caregiver for many children and she did nanny work, as well as worked at the Open Door in Sandwich.

Carol is survived by 4 children, Mark Lockman of CO, Timothy Lockman of Dekalb, IL, Hannah (Aaron) Shaw of TX and Seth (Jessica) Lockman of Sandwich, IL; Sister, Joyce Orendorff of IA; Brother, Robert (Cindy) of CO; Brother-in-law, Rick (Staci) Lockman; Sister-in-law, Margie Runquist; 6 grandchildren, Brent, Riley, Heather, Samantha, Renee and Andrea; 2 great grandchildren, Alice and Tegan; As well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Her husband, Jimmie Dean; As well as brothers-in-law, Lynn Orendorff, Larry Lockman and Dale Runquist.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a graveside service to follow out to Elerding Cemetery in Sheridan, IL.
