Carol "Gabby" Johnson

Carol “Gabby” Johnson, 82, of Seneca, IL passed away on January 23, 2024 at Prairie Crossing Living and Rehab in Shabbona, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 6^th, 2024 at Woodside Cemetery in Seneca, IL with Carol’s brother, Neal Spencer, officiating.

Carol was born in Morris, IL to Daniel and Esther (Newell) Spencer on March 15, 1941.

She went to school in Morris, IL. She married Richard A. Johnson on August 18, 1962 in Minooka, IL. She was a long time supporter of the Seneca Fighting Irish Booster Club and a strong advocate for the USS Indianapolis survivors, for which her father was one.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; Brother, Ervin; As well as both parents, Daniel and Esther.

Gabby is survived by son, Frank and his wife, Jaimi; Brother, Neal Spencer; Sister, Dolores Ehret; As well as 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
