Betty Joan Hiveley, 87, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 in Sandwich, Illinois.

Betty was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Doris Steinbrecher and Ralph Leisi on December 6,1936. She had a sister Barbara (Bailey) and brother Ralph, both have preceded her in death.

Betty Married Ralph Bartleman and had two daughters, Catherine (Gilkey) and Sandra (Coomes) and helped raise a stepson Daniel Bartleman and helped raise a granddaughter, Sara Bartleman (Lincoln).

She was married to Eugene K Hiveley for many years until his death.

Betty was very active in church and house groups for many years, loved to share her faith, had many friends, studied her bible, traveled to the Holy Land and loved her worship music.

Betty enjoyed coffee, gardening, opening her home to others, meeting new people, and helping those in need. She worked for many years for Pepperidge Farm and also Jewel Foods.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Cary) and Sandra ( Chris); Her 4 grandchildren, Hilary (Pratt), Hannah, Garrett and Mallory Gilkey; and 1 great granddaughter, Charlotte Pratt; Betty is also survived by several beloved Nieces and Nephews.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Pavilion On Main staff for all their hard work, dedication to residents and their families, and the love and care they shared with Betty (Queenie) and everyone.

Memorials may be given to 7 Mountains Church in Plano, Illinois where Betty and Eugene Attended, or Dementia and Alzheimer's Awareness.
