It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Austin J. Smith who left us far too soon at the age of 32. He graduated from Naperville Central High School and embarked on various endeavors throughout his life. Most recently, he was working as an apprentice for bathroom remodeling and tile, as well as at a moving company. He also pursued his love of music by creating and mixing beats.
A loving father, he adored his daughter and was excited to share his passions including Pokemon, outdoor adventures, Star Wars, Toy Story, and Harry Potter. Austin enjoyed spending a lot of time with his daughter, she was the light of his life. Family was always the most important thing to him.
He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, and was a devoted fan of the Bulls. He also enjoyed claiming he was a Sox fan since our whole family are Cubs fans.
He liked to discuss recipes and try them out. His sense of humor, quick wit, and infectious smile will be forever missed. He will be remembered for his kind heart, being a protective older brother, a proud dad and a loving son.
His unwavering love for family and friends, his laughter, and both cherished and unforgettable memories will be his legacy. Though he may be gone, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Austin is survived by his parents, Edward and Joan of Naperville, IL; Daughter, Naomi; 2 sisters, Savannah and Siarrah; A brother, Dalton; 2 aunts, Terry Conway and Connie Julian; As well as cousins, J.R. and Keaton DeVaul and Lynn and Lisa Julian. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Joan Gaza, and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Margie Smith.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, April 10th, 2026 at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548.
