Audrey Mae Whitecotton, 92, passed away on November 12, 2023. Audrey was born on October 16, 1931 in Oglesby, IL to Frank and Blanche (Welch) Pauline.

Audrey graduated in 1948 from Lasalle-Peru Twp. High School. She was employed from 1948-1953 as a Secretary at Westclox Div. of General Time Corp. From 1981 until now, she worked in office of the family business Plano Metal.

Audrey met her wonderful husband, Ralph, in 1951, just before he was drafted into the Marine Corps where he spent the next 2 years in the Philippine Islands. They married on September 4, 1953 in the Oglesby Union Church.

That Church’s Youth Foundation was the center of social and spiritual life for her, her sister and 2 brothers all their growing up years. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and played in the church band.

The best days of her life were having all the holidays at home with her husband, children and spouses, grandchildren and spouses (or friends) and great grandchildren.

She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, active in the family business for over 30 years and enjoyed over 60 years of playing bridge with wonderful old and new friends.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Robin; 2 sons, Randy (Chris) and Rick (Azucena); Grandsons, Mike, Dennis, Dan (Shannon) and Eric (Amy); Granddaughters, Alicia (Jon Tharnstrom) and Amanda (Luke Forester); As well as 19 precious great grandchildren, 5 special step grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Her husband, Ralph; 2 brothers, Frank (Joy) and Sam (Flo); As well as a sister, Ursula (Eugene) Snell.

There will be a private family service with a burial out to Oak Ridge Cemetery next to her husband, Ralph. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.beveragefamilyfh.com
