Amy J. Oshita

Amy Jeneen Oshita, 68, of Schaumburg, IL passed away on March 24, 2023. Amy was born on February 12, 1955 in Rockford, IL to Jack and Margaret Oshita.

Amy graduated from Rockford West High School and then went on to graduate from Northern Illinois University. She worked in data management at Kemper Insurance Group then went on to work at Allstate Insurance Company until her passing.

She enjoyed traveling, going to theater and music concerts, bowling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a proud member of MENSA.

Amy will forever be remembered by her legion of friends for her amazing intelligence, dry humor, sharp wit and her gentle and caring nature.

Amy is survived by her sister, Joy (Al) Gruidl; Brothers, Jaxon (Linda) Oshita and Keane Oshita; Nieces, Jennifer (Eric) Archer, Emily Layton, Donna (Brian) Hagewood and Cori (Sean) Hammond; Nephews, Jason Oshita, Justin Oshita and Garry (Shari) McVay; Several great nieces and nephews; And special friends, Jordan, Pat MacQueen and Kevin Collins; As well as her two cats, Sam and Sara.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Jack, and a sister, Candy McVay.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 12:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street, Sandwich, IL 60548. A eulogy will be held at 3:00 P.M.
