Marian R. Wicke

Marian R. Wicke, 84, of Creston passed away January 30, 2007 Marian was born November 19, 1922 in Rochelle, IL. Daughter of Bert L. Wigen and Lillie Vesta. She married William J. Wicke on June 2, 1946 in Creston, Il. Marian was an active member of Rochelle Senior Center and St. John’s Lutheran Church of Creston. She was a longtime employee of The DeKalb Chronicle and The Rockford Register Star. She is survived by one son Burt (Ruth) Wicke of Creston, IL., one daughter Rebecca (Bruce) Robb of Gilbert, S.C., one sister Jeanette (Melvin) Meling of Batavia, IL., two grandchildren, Mary Beth (Dustin) Slycord and Rachel Wicke and one great grandchild Dustin Slycord II. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband William J.
