Lawrence W. Gibson

Lawrence W. Gibson, 89, of Rochelle, passed away June 12, 2007, at the Rochelle Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Rochelle, Il.. Son of William Gibson and Mamie Dettman. He was married to Mildred Gibson for 69 years. They were married on December 24, 1938 in Clinton, IA. Larry was an Army veteran and a member of the Shriners. Moose, Lions and a painting contractor for over forty years. Survivors include his wife, Mildred, two daughters , Joan ( Ronald) Mershon, Judy Gibson, a grandson Randy Mershon (Michelle), and two great-grandsons, Reed & Jacob. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Thursday June 14, 2007 at Lawnridge Cemetery, Rochelle, Il. with Rev. Dr. John Hamilton and Chaplin Judy Williams officiating.
