Dale K Rogers

Dale K. Rogers 87, of Sandwich passed away April 1, 2007 at his home. He was born on October 2, 1919 in rural Sandwich to the late Forrest and Camilla "Millie" ( Christopherson) Rogers. He married Mary Kesterson on September 2, 1967 in MI. They spent their honeymoon at the Sandwich Fair, so he could show pigs. He started showing Poland-China's at a young age, then started raising Duroc's. He farmed all his life in Sandwich area and wood worked later in life and made beautiful furniture. He is survived by his wife Mary of Dermaid, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Myrtle Beams and a brother Harrison Rogers. Funeral Services where held thursday April 5th 2007 at the Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich Chapel at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Tim Feagin officiating. Interment followed to Pine Mound Cemetery Sandwich. visitation was held April 4th 2007 from 3- 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to Somonauk baptist Church, Dekalb Co. 4-H extension or the Sandwich-Somonauk FFA.
