Douglas John Mall

Douglas John Mall, 63, of Sandwich, passed away on November 20, 2017. He was born in Sandwich, IL. to Gerald and Jean (Friedrich) Mall on September 26, 1954. He married Marcia Carlson on May 8, 1976 at Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich, and was happily married for the next 41 years. Doug was a graduate of Sandwich High school and Aircraft School in Oklahoma. He worked as aircraft mechanic for JA Air Center Sugar Grove, IL (AAR ). He loved motorcycles, reading, woodworking but most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife Marcia, his parents Gerald (Jerry) and Jean Mall; his children Dan (Anna) Mall of Durham North Carolina, and Kristen (Jeremiah) Walley of St Charles, IL., his grandchildren Lena Mae and Harland Davis; a sister Gay Lynn (Wayne) Ash, and a brother Larry(Denise) Mall both of Sandwich, IL. Celebration of life in a casual setting will be held on November 24, 2017 from 4:00- 6:30 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home with a toast to Doug with his favorite wine at 6:00 p.m. family wishes for everyone to bring a fun story to tell to each other and celebrate Doug’s life.
